Ik ben gestart met het schilderij van de Zwaluw lucifers. Het tiende werk in de “Hollandsche & sterke merken” serie. Zoals gewoonlijk wordt het onderwerp uitgesneden en flink uitvergroot. Het nieuwste schilderij in de “Hollandsche & sterke merken” serie wordt een pakje Zwaluw lucifers met een brandende lucifer ernaast. De brandende lucifer wordt de grote uitdaging in dit werk… Zwaluw was het merk lucifers wat altijd thuis in de keuken te vinden was. Toen had je nog geen gasfornuis dat elektrisch ontstoken kon worden.
The first color layer on this painting was finished a while ago. I started on the second layer but there are some problems. When I was working on the background some blue paint came over the edges of the Exota bottle. The orange paint is very transparent so it will take a lot more layers
After many, many hours this painting is finished. After the varnish dried it went to Galerie Stam in Amsterdam. Go to the Prinsengracht 356S if you want to see it.
