The first color layer on this painting was finished a while ago. I started on the second layer but there are some problems. When I was working on the background some blue paint came over the edges of the Exota bottle. The orange paint is very transparent so it will take a lot more layers
The 4th painting in my “Hollandsche merken” series is finished. My mother used to buy these candies when I was a little kid. As you can see the Pepermint is the only one that is still closed. The reason for this is that I didn’t liked the taste of pepermint, and I still don’t like
The first color layer on the Calvé pindakaas painting is finished too! I can already see that the glass where there is no peanut butter needs to be darker but that’s something for the next layer. First the paint has to dry before I can continue.
The first color layer for the Verkade chocolate is finaly finished. The tinfoil was tough to paint. It felt like I was making an abstract painting… The tinfoil on the Douwe Egberts coffee was just as tough as the one on the chocolate. These two paintings have to dry for a while before I can
I thought it would take me a couple of hours to paint the chocolat. I was wrong, I forgot about all the logos and other letters on every piece of chocolat. But again it was fun to do and very rewarding.
I started working on the first color layer of the Douwe Egberts coffee. The first step was the white lettering and other white parts of the package. You see so many small details that you don’t see whwn you buy the coffee in the Supermarket. The next step was painting red. Not just one color
I continued working on the first color layer of the Calvé pindakaas painting. This was the easy part. Next step will be the glass with traces of peanut butter and the shiny knive. While I was waiting for the paint on the peanut butter painting to dry I started working on the next painting in
I always love to work on a new painting. Covering all that white canvas, I love it! It’s funny that you see things you never seen before because it is just peanut butter. When you make a photorealistic painting you study each inch of the jar. I’m quite happy with the start of this layer.
